The five photographs taken by Elsie Wright and Frances Griffiths from 1917-1920 in the village of Cottingley, Yorkshire, England. In 1983 the two cousins admitted that the pictures were faked using paper cutouts; Frances, however, insisted that that the final photograph, showing a group of faeries gathering in the grass, was genuine. The girls also maintained that, although the photographs might be hoaxed, they still witnessed faeries dancing at the bottom of their garden. The pictures still continue to mystify and enchant people even today.

This is hilarious, but also not-so-secretly what I want my life to be.

I am one of the confused tumblr people I just posted about. I have two separate visions for the future. One which is now, what I’m planning and doing ,and the one I actually want, which is my earth sheltered house and vegetable garden. I have no idea how to attain the second future, and am worried the first future will get in the way and I’ll wake up at 40 and still be dreaming of the second future. ugh.
I’ve been stalking the ‘a walk around Britain’ blog, because it’s beautiful. I want to walk from London to north Scotland, I google mapped it, it takes 240 hours, if you walk the motorway. So give me like, 6 months to walk it, to take the country roads, and fields, and forests.
Vashti Bunyan took a horse and gyspy wagon, it took her 3 years I think.
